Let me just state here and now that I use ellipses because I like them. . .they don't indicate omissions. . .they just indicate a troubled and wandering mind. . .like mine. . . and - while you're at it - you'll also find me quite questionable in other areas of punctuation. . .for instance, I've never been a fan of quotation marks. . .I like italics better. . . and the lonely hyphen? . . .the average person doesn't use them enough. . . I love to hyphenate words-that-go-together. . .I think it gives them just-the-right-emphasis. . .especially when I'm mad. . .
